Yoga has been part of my life for over 15 years. After years of athletics and daily gym workouts I came to yoga continuing to look for an invigorating workout. I found not only a humbling physical practice but began a journey of self-discovery. Over the years my practice and teaching have evolved alongside life’s myriad of changes. Yoga has been with me through pregnancies and motherhood, career changes and loss, injuries and surgeries. Through it all yoga has remained a constant, a type of home or safe haven where I can return to myself.
I am interested in helping students increase strength and mobility and to tap into their own inner awareness. My classes incorporate functional movements with traditional yoga poses and an emphasis on breath. Classes are tailored to the needs of my students. My hope is that you step off the mat feeling empowered, balanced and refreshed.
I have been teaching yoga for 10 years and teach all levels Vinyasa Yoga and Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. I began my teaching journey completing Level 1 Baptiste Yoga Teacher Training and a 200hr certification for Vinyasa Yoga through One Yoga, Hightstown. I earned a 100hr Prenatal Yoga certification from A New Light Yoga & Wellness and my Postnatal, Mom and Baby Yoga certification through Baby Om. I also earned a certification through Yoga Ed. to teach children ages Pre-K – 12th grade.
